Virupaksha at Dusk

Virupaksha temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is the oldest functioning temple in India. Built in 7th century, by Lakkana Dandesha, a chieftain under the ruler Deva Raya II of the Vijayanagara Empire, the towering temple can be seen from almost every corner of Hampi. Wherever I went, it captured my gaze and filled me with awe. An awe that is hard to capture. An awe that’ll stay and move with me as I take each step to the future.
