Happy New Year - Fireworks display

Year 2017, for me along with 1.6 million other humans who were around the Sydney harbor, did begin with a bang. One of the greatest NYE spectacle on the planet—the fireworks display—enthralled me all the way. So much so, that I either missed quite a few opportunities to snap photos or missed releasing the shutter at the right time.

Nevertheless, I still managed to get quite a few good shots. However, I sincerely feel the photos doesn’t quite do justice in portraying how grand the show actually was. And to witness all that from my room, without moving an inch, is something I consider as one of the best new year gifts that I’ve ever got.

I love you, Sydney. No matter where I am you’ll always have a special place in my heart.

Not only the display but the economic impact is also mind-boggling. It was reported that $905,000 was spent for the display and the direct economic impact on NSW was more than $133 million. These are serious numbers and probably should be looked at seriously by the rapidly growing economies.
